1. I am not obsessed with celebrities because a lot of them are just really problematic. Also, a lot of the articles about them are fake, which is really annoying. They are just normal people who have had a great opportunity.
2. We celebrate celebrities because we are jealous of them. We want the money, the attention, and the lives that they have. When we read about them, we feel that we are living precariously through them.
3. It is ok if they have shown no hatred of paparazzi in the past. They can then do whatever they want, but if they hate the paparazzi and then tip them off, then they are a hypocrite.
4. It is not ok because they are again just people. How would you like it if someone exploited you? It is not ok. Depending on what it is, it can boost the celebrity because it becomes all eyes on them.
5. Yes, I agree. I think that when people gossip, they are just happy that they know the information. It makes them look more in with the gossip because they know it. That is how rumors get spread so incredibly fast.
6. Parasocial relationships are one-sided relationships, where one person extends emotional energy, interest, and time, and the other party, the persona, is completely unaware of the other's existence.
7. Not that I know of. I try to always be nice and acknowledge people because I would not want to be ignored.
8. Yes, I do think it creates a false reality. You can be whoever you want to be online. We can prevent this by either staying off of social media or at least not putting on a facade while on social media.
9. My digital footprint reflects me. I do not over the top edit my photos and I don't fake any of my photos. All of the emotions in my social media posts are genuine.
10. I monitor it relatively carefully. I just do not want to look fake on the internet. I want people to see me for who I am, not who they want me to be.
11. Yes, I think that photos should capture the true emotion of the subject, not just the subject. It also should not be invasive. Invasive photos are usually taken completely out of context.
12. Yes and no. I think that some photos are definitely lies, like fake ones that make you look richer or fancier. I do not think that all photos are though. Especially not natural photos.
